Privacy

Code & Grain is a one-person hobby site. I collect as little as I can, and nothing here is sold or shared with anyone else.

Visitor statistics

I count visits with Umami, which I host myself. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't record anything that identifies you: just which pages are read, roughly where from, and on what kind of device.

Comments

To comment on a blog post you sign in with your email address and a display name. I email you a sign-in code to confirm the address is yours. Your display name is shown with your comments; your email address never is.

Your email address is used only to sign you in and, if you ask for them, to tell you about replies to your comments. It isn't used for marketing.

I keep it for no more than 12 months after your last comment or sign-in, then delete it. Your comments stay up under your display name unless you ask me to remove them too.

Removing your details

You can ask for your details to be deleted at any time, either from the comments section itself or by contacting me at CONTACT_EMAIL.
